How to perform

  1. Attach a rope or bar to a high pulley and stand facing it.

  2. Bring the elbows beside your ribs with the forearms bent upward.

  3. Straighten your elbows to move the handle down toward your thighs.

  4. Allow the elbows to bend again without letting the upper arms drift forward.

Key cues

  • Keep your upper arms still.
  • Use a small, steady forward lean if needed.
  • Finish by straightening the elbows, not bending the wrists.

Common mistakes

  • Pushing with the whole upper body.
  • Letting elbows flare and swing.
  • Allowing the stack to snap the handle upward.
