The idea
Life includes interruptions. An unselected or unfinished action is not automatically a promise for tomorrow.
Why it helps
A habit-formation study found that missing one opportunity did not materially change the formation process. That finding is not a universal timetable, but it gives no reason to demand a perfect sequence.
Try this
- Let yesterday stay closed.
- Choose again today only if the action fits.
Keep it simple
There is no extra action owed here.
