Mental load

Use less of the screen when there is already a lot to hold.

The idea

Here, mental load means the amount you feel you are holding in mind. Light, Normal and Heavy are display choices, not assessments of your health.

Why it helps

Keeping a note outside your head can reduce a memory demand. But writing everything down can also create more to manage, so the note can stay small.

Try this

  • Choose Heavy if fewer choices would help.
  • Try the one small option offered, or leave it for later.

Keep it simple

The interface can get quieter without needing an explanation.
